Character Information

Character Name: Absynnian

Battletag: Absynnian#1531

Working Armory Link:

Class and Specialization: Prot Paladin, some very limited experience with Ret.

Do you have any relevant alts or previous mains we should know about? I have an Unh DK alt that is 10/10H, used to main the spec back during Wrath and early Cata. Managed to clear Ulduar when it was current.

Provide a screenshot in an active combat situation, preferable a raid:
should be close enough, have some WeakAuras that track Seraphim and Avenging Wrath. Also a couple for the first 3 bosses in M NH.

Include relevant World of Logs or Warcraft Logs parses:
Should link to rankings page, all the logs I uploaded are public but likely some I forgot to post cause I've mostly looked at guild logs recently.

How did you hear about teamLUST, and what made you consider applying?

Saw your post on the forum, you have good progression and the post mentioned needing a tank.
Will you be able to maintain 90% attendance? Shouldn't be an issue for the time being.

What, if any, conflicts do you anticipate with this schedule?

The hours are manageable, normally prefer to get off before 12 est but wont be the first time I've run later. Things may get weird in a couple months when I start college. Engineering students tend to have alot of homework.

Describe your overall guild history from what you remember, starting when you began raiding. What experiences did you enjoy? Why did you leave or why were you removed from previous guilds?

Started raiding back in Wrath but that was all pugs and the like. I skipped over late Cata and all of MoP then came back during early WoD. Did basic stuff, some LFR, then quit for a year. Came back mid HFC, got geared and cleared heroic a bunch of times over the spawn of about 2-3 months both pugging and with a small guild (DeathsColdEmbrace) on a backwater server called Shu'halo. Tried to push into Mythic but didn't want to transfer at the time, and no one really needed a tank anyway. Insert Legion, played with same guild through all of EN, cleared Heroic a bunch of times, however it was a small server and just didn't have a large enough roster to push into Mythic. We did some ToV but that guild never cleared it. Then Nighthold hit, doing our normal slow progression when the raid team broken apart due to drama on the day after release. Tried a guild on the server I was on (Origin) but didn't like their hours and left to join a guild over on Ravencrest who's name escapes me. Anyway, all was going good, started working on M Chrono progression and all that. Then their 2nd raid team fell apart, the leader and officer of which was a tank who had been with the guild for several years so they gave them my slot, was pretty BS and all that. So joined another guild on Wyrmrest Accord (Abandoned) that has its own drama issues. Overall, has been pretty good cleared 3/10M and 2/3M and have been progressing on M Spellblade (get to the 2nd frost phase reliably now). This past Sunday (we raided Fri/Sat) the RL and some officers pulled me into Discord and told me they didn't think it wasn't working out and that I was free to look for another guild or be benched if I stayed. Really wasn't given a clear reason as to why I got bumped, but hey shit happens.

What did you learn? Be honest:

Well, I learned I have shit luck when it comes to guilds. But in all seriousness I've had to make serious strides as a player throughout this whole mess. Before NH never bothered with logging or making sure my build was super up to date barring the occasional trip to Icy Veins. Now I'm checking the paladin discord for the latest info on the various mythic fights and gear choices, I log every raid I do apart from LFR. Hell, I had to put a bunch of time into working on quick target switching just to clean up bosses such as M Skorp. Its been a very weird few months of WoW but all the insanity has been motivating in its own annoying way.

More about you

What motivates you to raid in a mythic progression guild such as ours? In what way do you picture yourself standing out from other applicants? Why should we want you in our raid?

I'm motivated to do Mythic progression raiding because I enjoy both the challenge of the content, but also the sense of prestige that comes with the mythic armor appearances, titles, and achievements. I almost never miss a day (maybe 2 days missed across a year of constant raiding barring the occasional planned vacation) and I learn the fights quick. I have pretty much every trinket currently available so I'm able to switch out as needed.

What would you consider to be your best and worst qualities? Try not to mention things already in this application:

Pride, I have a strong sense of pride that has at times motivated me to push myself as far as possible, but also has made me spiteful if feel like I've been disrespected. I can admittedly get irritated if I feel like progress isn't being made, specifically if its due to mechanics that I'm not responsible for. But I've never left mid-raid and I try to keep my irritation to myself barring the occasional bitching to friends in whispers. I no longer get irritated if I haven't gotten loot in awhile, I understand that the loot council is doing what it thinks is best for the raid team as a whole, which admitted took awhile to get over. I try to be honest in my opinions, although I do my best to keep them either too myself or between myself and an officer/raid leader if its pertinent to the progress of the raid.

Do you have any questions or final comments for us? That should be everything, thanks for giving this app a look over and sorry about the long responses.

Weekends are a bit slow for officers of the guild. We'll get an answer to your application as soon as we can. Thanks for your patience!

Thank you for taking the time to fill out an application to our guild! We would like to offer you a trial. Since you are on another server how would you like to handle this? You can come to our heroic run on Wednesday night 7:30pm server (CT) and see if you want to make the commitment and transfer. Let me know what works for you, I already have you on Bnet. We have some other options if that doesn't work for you.
