Yourself • Name: Andy • Age: 24 • Location and Timezone: Central Iowa, CST • Computer & Internet specifications. Do you have any downtime, outages or crashes? My internet is 50down, not sure the up quite yet. For my computer, I'm running an i7 920, with 6 gigs ram, and a GTX 760 3GB, and WoW is on a SSD. • Tell us about yourself outside of the game. What are your other interests? I am in my final year at Iowa State majoring in Geology. One can say I like shiny rocks. Other than that I play console games, and I love a good JRPG with a great story!
teamLUST • How did you hear about teamLUST, and what made you consider applying? After the Breakup of Zero, a few of our guildies went with teamlust(Hellinhunt, Krazius, Wenora), and Wenora told me about a hunter position opening up, and to apply. • Will you be able to maintain 90% attendance? Yes, Easily What, if any, conflicts do you anticipate with this schedule? Since I'm in college still, finals week and possibly midterms might be a time, but using any sort of time management would be able to make raid without any problems. • Describe your overall guild history from what you remember, starting when you began raiding. What experiences did you enjoy? Why did you leave or why were you removed from previous guilds? What did you learn? Be honest: I started raiding back in 2006 as a holy priest "Belthesar@Aerie Peak" in the guild <Iron Brotherhood>, Wenora and I were inthe same guild back then. I stayed with this guild until Burning Crusade. I don't remember much, but I never did anything to shake a stick at raiding wise to make me stand out. At the end I took a break and came back in WotLK. When Wrath came out, I was playing on my hunter "Fraan@Aerie Peak" on Aerie Peak still. I didn't do much until ICC when I found a OK guild and we got to Heroic Putricide in 10 and hit a brick wall. During Cata, I played a Prot warrior "Weatherleah@Proudmoore", I made the mistake to Transfer over to Proudmoore, and joined the guild <Axiom>. Here I came in late with the guild and started when they were working on H Magmaw and H atremedes in 25s. In Firelands we got up to Balroc Heroic, and for Dragon Soul, I got burnt out because of guild drama. At this time I played with one of your casual members, Oomasaur. Coming back from the break, it was almost the launch of ToT in MoP, I found a guild of people who live nearby me, and played a prot pally "Hanwa@Hyjal" that I hated for a terrible guild that finished the Tier out at magera normal. At this point I finally said enough is enough and re-rolled a hunter and looked for a good guild when SoO landed. I was still on Hyjal at this point, and joined a guild <Midpull>. I got my Normal garrosh kill decently early and started working on heroics in 10s. Eventually we had a small fallout and instead of recruiting more quality people, they decided to fill with the GM's brother, who was terrible. Eventually I left due to the lack of progression after the fallout, and the drama that followed. I eventually found a guild that I liked, and it was <Zero> on Mal'ganis. I'm sure you all know what happened with Zero. I had a summer class out in Wyoming, and when I got back, the guild has Disbanded.
Currently i'm on Stormreaver in <Fear Itself>. Im not too fond of the people here, and the attitudes of the raid group are something that I am not fond of, and am thinking that the guild just isn't for me. I ended up getting my Heroic Garrosh kill here while on trial in my second week raiding with this guild.
More about you • What motivates you to raid in a heroic progression guild such as ours? In what way do you picture yourself standing out from other applicants? Why should we want you in our raid? What motivates me as a raider is Progression, and the rewards of having special titles and gear. I'm not much of a gear whore, but I will admit that It is one of the reasons why I like heroic progressions. As a hunter, I believe that I am a decent player and I usually am one of the last people to die in a fight. Im a quick learner on alot of fights and mechanics and I don't tunnel often. • What would you consider to be your best and worst qualities? Try not to mention things already in this application: My best quality I would have to say would be my awareness for shit around me. Since I have no negative aspects to moving, I am constantly on the move during a raid, and looking around me. My worst quality at the moment would have to be that I am terrible at Beast Mastery. I can't play it well, and during progression, the spread between the two specs were so close, there was no need for me to learn BM. This is not saying I won't try a different spec in WoD. Misc. • Other than through in-game sources such as battletag, what other means do we have to contact you? The next step in a quality application is scheduling a Teamspeak 3 interview. It would be helpful and less time consuming if we had other methods of contact: Just ask Wenora or Hellin to contact me since they both have my phone number. Getting a hold of me will never be a challenge. • Do you have any questions or final comments for us? The change from a 25man to a 10man can be different on some fights, so getting used to strats might Take a little bit.
