Tell us about yourself outside of the game. What are your other interests? I have been a huge hockey fan all of my life and have been playing it for the past 14 years. When I'm not playing video games or playing hockey with friends I spend a good amount of my time studying since I'm currently in Medical School. That's pretty much my entire life at the moment: eat, sleep, sports, video games, and studying medicine.
I believe my most notable parses on there are Heroic Gul'dan (99% percentile for my ilvl) and Heroic Elisande (95% percentile for my ilvl). My mythic parses aren't very competitive when compared to moonkins worldwide due to my lack of gear (set pieces), but when looking at others with my same ilvl i'm 80% percentile and above.
How did you hear about teamLUST, and what made you consider applying? I made a post on the WoW forums saying I was looking for a new guild, preferably one that is at least 4/10 in mythic. I'm not happy with my current guilds rate of progression so I'm looking for a new group to raid with.
Will you be able to maintain 90% attendance? Yes.
What, if any, conflicts do you anticipate with this schedule? Nothing unless I'm randomly out of town for a vacation which isn't very often.
Describe your overall guild history from what you remember, starting when you began raiding. What experiences did you enjoy? Why did you leave or why were you removed from previous guilds? What did you learn? Be honest:
I have been playing WoW since late vanilla. I started raiding in BC with a guild called Delusions of Grandeur where we cleared all content in the game. At the start of WotLK that guild transferred to a new server so I looked for a new home. After a few failed attempts at finding a new guild throughout WotLK I finally joined the guild Warcraftier. I raided with this guild for the end of WotLK and all of Cataclysm. During Cataclysm, we were #1 on our server and a top 300 raiding guild in the US. This was my favorite time to play since I was raiding with a great group who all understood their class and the game well. Everyone showed up to raid nights prepared and knew exactly what their role was on every boss fight. No one was being carried, everyone was putting in the same amount of effort which resulted in us clearing all content.
When MoP released I was just starting college and decided to take a break from the game, so I missed the entire expansion. I came back to the game during the release of WoD, but decided to just play more casually and created a raiding guild with my friends. I decided that this expansion I wanted to start raiding more seriously again so I have been looking for a guild that has the same goals as me. I'm planning on leaving my current guild because of their lack of progression. The group of people I'm raiding with don't seem like they're putting enough effort into learning fights since progression is going so slowly and people often die to very avoidable things even after 40+ pulls on a boss.
As for what I've learned, I have no problem thriving in stressful raid environments. While being in a top 300 US guild isn't anything incredible, it's remarkable enough to mention that I'm able to excel in groups where no raid spot is safe and you have to give it your all every night to keep your slot on roster. This taught me that I need to always go the extra mile and research moonkin specific things on every boss fight to make sure I am maximizing my DPS, especially during progression.
More about you
What motivates you to raid in a mythic progression guild such as ours? In what way do you picture yourself standing out from other applicants? Why should we want you in our raid? If I'm playing this game the main thing I'm looking to do is raid. It's what I enjoy by far the most about this game, so obviously I am looking to join a guild that are wanting to do the same. I always put in my best effort in everything I do, whether its grinding AP or researching boss fights. For example, I took a break from this game from December to February so when I came back my weapon was at 35 and everyone else was at 54. I non-stop ran mythic+ dungeons and went from 35-54 in less than 2 weeks because I know how important it is to have your weapon maxed out. Having me in your raid would be beneficial because I'm very reliable. I hardly ever die to dumb mechanics, and I always do my part in researching the little things that are class specific to every boss. On top of that I know my class very well so I bring great DPS.
What would you consider to be your best and worst qualities? Try not to mention things already in this application: I can adapt to situations on the fly which is very useful on hectic boss fights. I know all about progression and what it can feel like to be stuck on a boss and staying with the game rather than burning out (500+ pulls on Heroic Ragnaros before killing him once). It is key to not get frustrated with your peers, but rather try your best to contribute to fixing any problem your raid is having rather than flaming them.
Do you have any questions or final comments for us? Nope.
Thanks for taking the time to apply to our guild! We would love to trial you. We'll be doing our Heroic Nighthold on Wednesday night at 7:30pm server time (cst). Hop in and see if our guild is what you are looking for! I have you on my friends list. Look forward to raiding with you.
